You would think that we are finally in a time in our lives where an interracial dating couple can walk in the mall, on the street or anywhere without being noticed. Not!
Even though we have come such a long way and even the media has embraced portrayals of interracial dating on TV. In the theaters, we have not come that far. Sure, interracial dating is tolerated by seemingly the majority, but from the looks on some faces when my daughter and her now husband walk pass is unmistakably one of disapproval.
Across the board interracial dating is more in your face these days as it should be. One should not be limited as to whom they can date. Choosing a dating partner should not have to be limited to a similar skin color, of course in some cases the cultural differences may make things a little more difficult, but the willingness to compromise on both sides can make it work. Interracial dating allows the qualities that you like in a person to be sought after not based on the color of their skin but their inner person.
